ALLEGATIONS OF CHILD ABUSE
Criminal Context - Adult & Juvenile

Should I Talk to Police?

NO! In the context of child abuse, if you are ever contacted by the police detectives children services workers, protective service workers or anyone else concerning any allegations of abuse, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TALK TO THEM WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF AN ATTORNEY SKILLED IN THIS AREA.

You cannot trust the government employees to take accurate notes of your responses to questions. They usually will not tape these interviews, so it is your word against theirs. In case of prosecution, this is not a good situation to find yourself in. I know how to handle these situations. I will protect your rights and work with you to give you the best possible chance to keep your freedom.

These people are not your friends. In most situations, they believe the allegations are true. They fail and refuse to conduct proper investigations and interviewing techniques to seek the truth about the allegations. Once the allegations are made, they believe them. They are not trying to find out your side of the story. They are trying to elicit a confession from you.
